And the winner is….

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

So apparently Blu-ray officially wins the Hi-Def format wars (…so glad I bought a PS3). Toshiba announced yesterday that it will discontinue their HD DVD business. This is a HUGE deal as Toshiba was a major partner of companies like Microsoft and Paramount Pictures in the format war on the HD DVD side. This comes after companies like Warner Bros., Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Netflix announced that they would support Blu-ray disc exclusively, ending their previous support of both formats. Here’s a recent time line of events… (more…)

Getting Lost – Episode 2.22 “Three Minutes”

Wednesday, May 17th, 2006

threeMinutesI really think that ABC should create a Michael doll, kind of like a “Tickle me Elmo”. It could be a “Question Me Michael”.

Ask “Question Me Michael” anything and he’ll answer the same way.

“I Want My Son!”

Getting Lost – Episode 2.21 “?”

questionMarkBrickWell, Spammy’s been a bad boy by not writing his Lost post right after the episode is over. So here it is, wednesday, and there’s a new episode tonight and I still haven’t posted about last week’s.

Tsk. Tsk.

Anyway, TV Squad did a good job of running through the entire episode, so I’ll fall back on them.

Getting Lost – Episode 2.20 “Two for the Road”

Thursday, May 4th, 2006

analucia dougWell Lostheads, I guess you could say Michael’s back.

Good to have you back buddy! NOW, if you could just stop killing unarmed women and freeing murderous cult-members, maybe we’d like you a whole lot more. (Oh, BTW, Spoiler Warning, WOOPS!)

I’m too emotionally damaged after that episode to properly recap it… But I’ll try anyway. Here goes nothing!

Getting Lost – Episode 2.19 “S.O.S”

lost roseSo Im sure all 5 of the people who regular this site have been wondering why there hasn’t been a LOST post yet. Well, as hard as it is to believe, I missed last week’s episode. What can I say, every now and then a guy has to Log out, Turn the TV off and do stuff in RL.

Anyway, a quick trip to lost-tv.com lets you know that there’s no new LOST this wednesday, which is good for me, since it gives me a chance to catch up. However, thanks to the busy bloggers at TV Squad, I already spoilered it… and that’s why I’m writing this post.

Getting Lost – Episode 2.18 “Dave”

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

hurley noobOK, in this week’s episode we find out the darker side of Hurley’s past. In flashbacks, Hurley’s doc in the mental ward convinces him with a polaroid that his friend “Dave”, who’s been influencing him to binge and not take his meds, has something in common with the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus. In other words, he doesn’t exist. (or so we’re lead to believe, back to that in a minute) Hurley denies Dave’s existence, gets better, leaves the mental hospital, yadda yadda yadda… island.

Getting Lost – Episode 2.17 “Someone’s About to Get Popped Right in His Brain”

gale

So we got some answers last night. Of course NONE of us were fooled by “Mr. Gale’s” little story. If I was Jack or Locke, I would have put a bullet in Gale’s head with that little “what if” story of his. But now it’s official…Gale is one of the Others! Which means soon enough, he most likely be PWND…

Getting Lost – Episode 2.16 “The Whole Truth”

Sun lost animation“Got any milk?”

It was with these three words that Henry Gale secured his own spot in the Squat Squat Pwnage Hall of Fame. I can’t say that I really know what the prisoner’s deal is, or who he works for, but I can’t wait to find out! Next week we’ll see if his little “mind freak” causes Lostaway casualties.

Anyway, despite the awesome prisoner happenings, this episode was really all about our favorite bickering couple, (No, not Ricky & Lucy) Jin & Sun. I always enjoy their flashbacks and this week’s was no exception. The drama with the fertility doctor was great.

peterweller

Keeping in tune with the whole “intensify your Monday night until you dookie all over yourself from sheer delight” theme that 24 has been known to impart, last night’s episode, while short on the body count, was high in anus-tighening suspense! A special German agent, a skanky generic European information broker, Robocop, and a spineless President round out the highlights of this amazing episode.

CTU = Worst Gub’ment Agency EVER!

Tuesday, March 14th, 2006

samwise 1After last night’s episode of 24, I realized two things. First, it should be renamed Squat Dat, since EVERYONE is getting squatted! Including Lynne, aka Samwizzle Gamgizzle, who went out in a blaze of glory. Secondly, CTU is by far the worst government agency ever. Why? Let’s just say when I worked in customer service and made calls to various corporations, I had a harder time getting into their buildings than these waterhead terrorists had getting into the CTU HQ. Oh by the way, what does CTU stand for? COUNTER TERRORIST UNIT!!? Let’s discuss how horrible they’ve failed at that title…
