Getting Lost - Episode 2.16 “The Whole Truth”
Posted March 23, 2006 at 1:04 am by SpamalotIt was with these three words that Henry Gale secured his own spot in the Squat Squat Pwnage Hall of Fame. I can’t say that I really know what the prisoner’s deal is, or who he works for, but I can’t wait to find out! Next week we’ll see if his little “mind freak” causes Lostaway casualties.
Anyway, despite the awesome prisoner happenings, this episode was really all about our favorite bickering couple, (No, not Ricky & Lucy) Jin & Sun. I always enjoy their flashbacks and this week’s was no exception. The drama with the fertility doctor was great.
It was revealed that Sun was at the very least having an emotional affair with her twirpy Almost Ex-Boyfriend/English Tutor, who Wiggy said resembled Howie Mandel (LOL).
So Sun is prego, and as long as she doesn’t get killed, she’s having herself a critter or two. Since Jin is shooting blanks, how is she pregnant? Here are a couple of our theories:
- Jin is really the daddy. Maybe the island did for Jin’s “boys” what it did for Locke’s legs?
- Michael is the daddy. If this is true, and that baby comes out brown instead of yellow, Mike should stay with the Others–He’s allot safer with them. I mean, Jin choked him out over a watch!
- Wiggy thinks the baby’s father is John Witherspoon (of Friday and The Wayans Brothers fame.) While highly unlikely, this one had me in stiches for a good half hour.
- The Smoke Monster is the daddy! I’ll let Sqlid expound on this one, but let me just say it involves one confused Jack trying to deliver a bunch of smoke. “pooooof”
Discuss!

Yeah, man. Good, good episode. I have a special place for sad korean eyes. I guess that’s why I like the Sun and Jin episodes so much. They never miss. The emotional bulls-eye is always hit.
Now as for Gale. The writers are killing me. They’ve written him so well, that I don’t even have a leaning, either way, on whether he’s an “other” or not. I like how this show straps you down for an amazing ride the end of which you really can’t guess. I loved how Gale’s comments seem to reflect what the people at home are thinking. “What’s the computer for? How old is this cereal? Got any milk? You people aren’t curious enough.” Also him busting on the Jack/Locke trust issue was great. What a great character. And STILL I don’t know if he’s lying.
Back to Sun and Jin. Like I said before: they are FIRST RATE. Those two actors are just top freaking shelf. Butttt Suuu-uuunnnn. Your eyes tell me you’re lying to Jin about being faithful, but true to “Lost” form–it could be nothing. I don’t even know what to think. We may find out that she didn’t cheat, that it’s a lil miracle.
This is important to me, kinda. I’ve seen that almost everyone on the island has been up to some form of evil-doing. All except Sun. I think may she be sullied. OR we’ll find out she’s GOOD and that GOOD people do exist among the other islanders with closets full of skeletons. BUTTT I’m starting to think EVERYONE has something really messed up in their pasts. Even the ones who SEEM to be good. Time will tell.
On the comedic tip [and you's all know I've got one] While watching “Lost” last night, Spammy and I got to brainstorming about the potential “bebby-dadda” of Sun. It could be Jin. It could be MICHAEL. OR ANY DUDE ON THE ISLAND, Anna Lucia included. We kinda went off the deep with the brainstorming and we came up with the SMOKE MONSTER being the daddy:
it’s night. Jin is still out to sea. Sun turns in for the night after a hard day of planting.
the smoke monster begins swirling around the tent, machine/snake sounds blaring. Sun huddles up, scared. the smoke monster quickly enters the tent and a “struggle” ensues. the sounds turns from a struggle to that of love. a loud, mechanical howl cuts the night air. several hours pass.
a familiar shape appears at the front of the tent. what looks like smoke is rising from it.
camera pushes in slowly to reveal the smoke monster has taken a mans shape. and is smoking a cigarette. the smoke man flicks the cigarette into the ocean and dematerializes into the jungle.
Sun peaks out, concerned. she looks around and smiles a satisfied smile, closes her eyes, and disappears back into the tent.

Ana Lucia is no dewd, it has been confirmed by abc that she is a heterosexual female.
She also goes peepee sitting down…
I’ve been trying to spread the word about “Getting Lost”

First off…..who knew Sun was smokin’ hot? I mean she has a pretty face and all, but I dang near fell out of my chair when she appeared in that little nightie. Muy caliente!
I have my doubts about Sun. She shot a nervous look around when hugging Jin after stating she had “never been with another man”. Is she lying? I think so….but it could just be nothing like Sqlid stated.
If Jin is the father, I wouldn’t be surprised. Sqlid said it best that the island did for Jin’s “soldiers” what it did for Locke’s legs. Miracles happen people! Especially on this lil’ island.
Gale is smart…..REALLLLLL smart. I think he’s a scientist for Dharma, not just your average “other”. This guy on the “Getting Lost” site made a good point…..the balloon seen in the preview could possibly be Desmond’s. The “other’s” set it up knowing that if one of them was captured, the balloon story is what they would use. It’s a big trap and heads are gonna roll.
Great ep all around.

I guess you could say the Sun is smoking hot, nyuk nyuk nyuk.
(Tips hat)

Nah, it’s not Desmond’s balloon. He said he crashed his boat on the reef. Maybe it’s “Adam” and “Eve’s.” The dead couple found at the water source. Or still other folks who happened upon this doomed %#$&’n island.

I’m mad late on this, so rather than rehash, I’ll say one thing…
I thought Sun was the stuff back when I first saw her and Jin before they were married, when she was in the hot dress with the back out.
She’s a bit flat in the back, but the face and everything else is just fine. Jin needs to get a tighter grip on his girl before Tronsta “crash lands” on the island and squats him and pwnz his lady friend.
That was just a joke, BTW, incase my woman every reads this.
Hehe

Sun’s face is mad weird. I don’t care if she’s a big time AZN TV star…
Definitely teh Buttah Face.
