Not to slam Sony, PS has a history of ground-breaking, genre defining gaming. But, the cult following of UT is second only to CounterStrike (BOOM HEADSHOT! Sorry.) That MAIN reason why UT hasn't been out for any consoles is because of the backlash the UT community would give. What could they do? I dunno. Not likely they would be able to pull anything off to make Epic decide truly against console porting. But look at the facts...Unreal 1 and 2 for Xbox? Unreal Championship? All these Unreal games for consoles and yet no UT? Why go through all the trouble to make UT-like games but not slap the UT title on it? I read an article from one of the big Epic guys that the cult following of UT is what they consider when deciding where to take the series. Honestly, I would buy PS3 if UT2007 was out on it. That's really the only game besides Halo that would make me buy a PS3. But, I HIGHLY doubt that UT2007 will make it to a console. Yeah, logically, seems a great choice. But my gut says this is a Sony ploy to divert attention from the impending Halo 3 release date that will, according to Master Gates (hehehehe) will coincide very closely with PS3's release. We've seen a lot of advertising hooplah over the past year, so at this point, I'd say we can't be sure of anything until it goes gold.
